a challenge to your balance

him: "gibberish seems funner than pig latin."

me: "more fun. funner ain't a word."

him: "maybe i like speaking improper english. it's funner."

a note on why i never use proper grammar, in terms of capitalization. it mostly has to do with the ambivilant nature of my posts, but also, when i Do type in caps, it emphasizes a point. The End.

yesterday was like three days off in one. i met joanna (fresh off the plane from france) for breakfast at the varsity inn, where we discussed everything from tattoos ("i didn't know they could do hot pink on skin" -- her) to relationships ("i don't want to marry someone and have to deal with their financial troubles" -- her) and then went to stalk our former landlord for the $200 he owes us (he doesn't know about it yet, of course.) we then took off for very cherry, which is my new favorite store ever, and if you are ever in seattle you must, must go here (on 45th in wallingford) for it is everything a vintage store should be: cheap, quality-over-quantity, negotiable, and blatantly quaint.

directly afterwards, liz and i had a date with target. one mini-brush mascara and a few socks later, we were off for provisions for the barbecue we were late for. $50 in booze and chips later, we finally arrived, expecting a full fare of charcoal-scorched goodness. alas, the men -- excuse me, boys had been unable to build a sufficient fire in the three hours we'd been gone. this was a complete disaster, since we were scheduled to leave for mulkiteo for the 6:30 ferry and it was 6:00 already. we scratched the ferry idea, instead deciding to make the two-hour drive to oak harbor. after a deeeeee-lish meal involving salmon, sturgeon, new york strip steak, blackened chicken, bearnaise and a plum-ginger sauce (former for the steak, latter for the fish), i was quite full and ready to head to bed. alas, i made the four-hour round trip in three-and-a-half and collapsed soon after arriving home.

hooray for productive days.

tonight, of course, is dedicated solely to laundry, cheesey movies, and the leftover beer. have lovely weekends.

one year ago today: "even if i wasn't exactly content with former lifestyles (internet nerd, party slut, bitchy goth, &c), at least it was a choice"

two years ago today: nothing happened.

About me
Hi. Morgan, 27, of Santa Barbara, CA. I am a hypocritical admirer of rhetoric (when it is my own) and an observer of literary trends. A secret: I don't take anything very seriously, and that includes myself.
