Elegy for my age
06 June 2007 at 2:37 pm

Think nothing more of it, a trick of the light
Sleepy eyes that aren't seeing things right
Roots coming in lighter than before
More frightening than blood, more sickening than gore
Genetics? Stress? Nuclear exposure?
If I ignore it, it's not happening for sure
If I hope, if I bargain, if every night I pray?
Two hairs on my head are officially grey.

About me
Hi. Morgan, 27, of Santa Barbara, CA. I am a hypocritical admirer of rhetoric (when it is my own) and an observer of literary trends. A secret: I don't take anything very seriously, and that includes myself.
