Fuckin' Paul

"Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." (Corinthians 13:1-7)

In that same chapter is the following:

"Shun fornication! Every sin that a person commits is outside the body; but the fornicator sins against the body itself." (Corinthians 6:18).

As well as:

"Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head unveiled? Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair, it is degrading to him, but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering." (Corinthians 11:13-15).

Also, "...it is shameful for a woman to speak in church." (14:35). No justification whatsoever.

How am I supposed to make sense of this ridiculosity?

About me
Hi. Morgan, 27, of Santa Barbara, CA. I am a hypocritical admirer of rhetoric (when it is my own) and an observer of literary trends. A secret: I don't take anything very seriously, and that includes myself.
