saves the day is great.

last night was fun. i'm such a nerd, though. sarah the roommate and i decided to go into town (downtown, that is) and kendall and jashon went with us. kendall is a ballerina, and you would assume that from looking at her. incrediby petite, perfect skin, hair always tied back. she's very nice and even has somewhat of a personality and a sense of humor, but we have absolutely nothing to say to each other. jashon is a pretty boy, but is actually pretty cool. i could see myself being friends with him, except for me extreme fear of all that is male. anyway, so i wanted to go into some of the thrift shops but something told me jashon and kendall wouldn't be interested in that, so we just walked up and down state street until k and j left and sarah and i decided to see ghostworld. so we saw ghostworld, which i liked but i'm not sure if i enjoyed it or not. you should see it despite.

so we came back after desperately searching for a bus, and sarah had an interesting conversation (actually, it was more like a lecture) from a 63-year-old man who was still living in the 60s. he was going off on why religion is bad, jesus never rose, how "we" (as in, caucasians, i guess) are the same as the arabs but we're different from a "really black african-american." sarah tried to interject her own thoughts (but arent' we all human) but he would have none of that! oh, and i saw some people who were traveling cross-country, i guess, with a fish in a wine bottle. it was very exciting.

we got back around 8:30 and the dining halls close at 8, but sarah's friends anne and christine were stil eating in there so they got us a loaf of bread (i've never felt more like an orphan) and then we came back to the dorm and talked for a long time about sex-related matters (she was very impressed with my hello kitty vibrator and the second time she had sex, she didn't know the guy had come and she thought he had just stopped and she got really pissed off so she pushed him off of her and walked out on him. hehe.) then we walked around looking for christine and anne and couldn't find them but we found our ra maren, who invited us to play a game. so we played sorry and were joined by a very nice fellow named justin, who said i have such a nice smile after i disclosed what a vindictive bitch i really am. we laughed a lot and it was actually a lot of fun, for being such a lame activity to be partaking in on a friday night in santa barbara.

the game finally ended after 3 hours (i won) and sarah and i went to watch dazed and confused, which i'd seen at least 3 times before but never fully enjoyed until last night. it is truly a classic. and rory cochrane! ooo, i thought i liked him in empire records, but he was so cute as a clueless pothead!

it was 1:30 and i was pooped so i drifted off to bed. then i woke up around 9 this morning with a huge migraine and was too scared to hop off my lofted bed to grab my advil, for fear my legs would buckle and i'd have even more pain coursing through my body. sarah came back around 11 and she got me my advil, which cured it within 10 minutes and then i took a shower and went to lunch with christin and sarah and now i'm listening to my newly burned saves the day cd (28 songs, one kickass cd. yay.) and i think i'll go get a manicure and pedicure today. maybe tomorrow.

maybe not.

About me
Hi. Morgan, 27, of Santa Barbara, CA. I am a hypocritical admirer of rhetoric (when it is my own) and an observer of literary trends. A secret: I don't take anything very seriously, and that includes myself.
