i can't help but notice that everyone is giving to help terrorist victims in ny, which is fabulous. i also can't help but notice that most of the people who are giving large sums make sure people know. example: on herbal essence's homepage, they mention that they're donating some money and if i buy somethin,g they'll donate some more. just so i know how philanthropic they are. and "the britney spears foundation" is giving a dollar for every ticket sold for her concert to the fund, with a goal of $2 million.

wouldn't it be better to pool all these foundations into a few big foundations that are named after what they stand for? like, "the breast cancer fund" or "the music is cool foundation" instead of "the i'm joe schmo and i want you to know i care foundation"?

but i am glad there are a lot of people who give. but i'd have incredibly respect for anyone who didn't put their name with their money. because it's not about their name, it's about the money dammit.

pardon my cynicism.

About me
Hi. Morgan, 27, of Santa Barbara, CA. I am a hypocritical admirer of rhetoric (when it is my own) and an observer of literary trends. A secret: I don't take anything very seriously, and that includes myself.
